Question by Denver is a girl: Spiritual Muslims: Can i become Muslim and still get a sex change?

And before I get any answers out of ignorance, Ive seen therapists and psychaitrists and doctors and they all agree that getting a sex change is best for me.

Im diagnosed with Gender Identity Disorder which is a mental illness, just like depression. Since I can treat depression why would it be a sin for me to treat my GID?

And what sect of Islam is most accepting of transsexuals, and how do I join?
